Andrew D. Byrd
Andrew D. Byrd of South Charleston is a Democrat running for the West Virginia House of Delegates in Kanawha County’s 35th District. Andrew’s roots in Kanawha County run deep. He has lived his entire life in South Charleston. As a life-long resident, Andrew learned core values and the importance of giving back to the community to improve the quality of life for all residents. Andrew has never forgotten where he comes from.
Andrew’s parents always stressed the importance of a quality education. Andrew was educated from kindergarten through high school in Kanawha County’s public school system. Following high school, Andrew attended West Virginia University, earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Andrew went on to attend West Virginia University’s College of Law where he earned his doctorate in jurisprudence. After graduating law school, Andrew returned to South Charleston. Currently, Andrew is an attorney with Warner Law Offices, P.L.L.C. in Charleston, West Virginia. Andrew also helps run a family-owned business in South Charleston where he works to improve residential development across the Kanawha Valley.

Andrew currently resides in South Charleston, West Virginia with his wife Christina and their English Bulldog, Gus. Andrew and Christina are members of First United Methodist Church in South Charleston where Andrew serves as the church’s Financial Chair. Andrew and Christina dedicate a majority of their time supporting multiple charities and organizations throughout the Kanawha Valley and West Virginia, including Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House, March of Dimes, YWCA, Heart and Hand, and the West Virginia Alzheimer’s Association.
